New Leading Positions for Prospect

Aberdeen, Scotland, (December 2, 2011) — Prospect, a Superior Energy Services company, recently announced that Colin Shellard, has been promoted from UK Business Director to Prospect General Manager and that Derek Younie has been promoted from Aberdeen Operations Manager to Group Operations Manager with immediate effect.

Colin graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering & Management from Dundee University and started his career in civil engineering working in Singapore. Colin then returned to the UK to work for Stolt Offshore Ltd before moving to Sonsub where he later became a Principal Engineer. In 2008, Colin joined JP Kenny working as Operations Group Team Leader, before joining Prospect in March 2011 as UK Business Director. In his new role as General Manager, Colin will lead the business and manage Prospect across the UK, Houston and Singapore offices.

Colin Shellard said "I am delighted to have been given this promotion and will relish the opportunity to use my engineering and managerial experience to steer Prospect towards a very successful future.”

Derek Younie began his career with an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering/welding and fabrication with William Reid Engineering. Derek spent 10 years in the industry before moving to Aberdeen in 1998 to work offshore in down-hole completion and monitoring systems. After 4 years he held various project engineering positions with Weatherford, Baker Hughes and WellDynamics International. In 2008, Derek moved to FMC Technologies as UK Operations Manager and started with Prospect in 2009 as a Project Manager. Over the past 2 years Derek has progressed to Aberdeen Operations Manager and in his new role, Derek is responsible for operations across all of Prospect's offices.
