ISS Australia Receives ExxonMobil Chairman's Safety Award

New Orleans, La., (Aug. 8, 2011) — ISS Australia, a Superior Energy Services company, has again this year earned the ExxonMobil (Esso Australia) Chairman's Safety Award. This marks the third Chairman's Safety Award for ISS Australia. ISS Australia was recognized this year for its successful track record and ongoing commitment to safety while operating in the Bass Strait, a sea strait separating Tasmania from the south of the Australian mainland.

In receiving this award, ISS Australia was congratulated for working 139,000 hours in 2010 without a recordable incident. In addition, the group was commended for its proactive approach in assigning a rig safety officer, who for the past five years has been responsible for driving and supporting efforts to improve safety performance on the rig floor. This support includes leading interventions, safety conversations with work crews and promoting safe behavior and processes. ISS Australia has further enhanced its safety efforts by using photos and descriptions to ensure safety procedures are consistently applied and obeyed.
